Absolutely! Thirty percent of our students have never touched a firearm before attending our classes.  Many of them have been totally fearful of guns prior to the class or lesson.  We take great pleasure in introducing new shooters to the sport of shooting and empowering them to be able to protect themselves if necessary.  We start out the training with SIRT Training Pistols ( a training gun that shoots a laser beam, not a real bullet). This helps the new shooter get comfortable with the operation of a firearm and the fundamentals of shooting without the worry of the noise and recoil of a real gun.

What are the rules of gun safety?

We abide by the rules of gun safety from the NRA:

  1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction

  2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

  3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use
